Late October, Southern Georgian Bay

I am fortunate enough to teach at an elementary school just a short walk away from Wasaga Beach, Ontario, which bills itself as the world's longest freshwater beach.
Wasaga Beach sits at the southern end of u-shaped Georgian Bay. In the summer, it's a vacationer's paradise. Traffic becomes snarled, at times, as the community's population increases about five-fold. While we spend the odd day at the beach in peak season, I prefer taking walks along it during the off season. I enjoy watching how the Niagara Esacarpment, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the west, changes with the seasons. These photos were taken on a brief stroll on the beach in late October, 2005. I'll update this page over the course of the next 6 months to demonstrate.
